Electronic
File Requirements
First,
please send us a test file before submitting live electronic ads.
We can only insure the quality of your ad when we can work out any electronic
problems ahead of deadlines.
Files
Must Be Macintosh Compatible.
Electronic
files and/or file changes must be received at the same time as the
space and copy deadlines published above.
A
Sentinel-Record "Electronic File Check List" form must be
completed and forwarded with each file.
Your
Account name, contact name, file name, phone number, and insertion
date must be written the disk label.

Quark
Xpress 4.0 or earlier version (use of the "collect for output"
is strongly recommended).
All
artwork must be saved as as EPS file in Photoshop 5.0 or an earlier
version.
Halftones
must be prepared using the Sentinel-Record transfer curve and electronic
settings which are shown on the Electronic File Checklist. ( Call
for copy)
Any
EPS file supplied with the ad must include the original native (application)
file as well as the EPS file.
Mechanical
Requirements
The
ad must be the correct size with all the elements placed inside the
ad area.
A
hard copy of the ad file must accompany each ad for reference and
as a quality control measure.
Color
plate and designation and registration marks must be applied on all
color ads.
If photographs or graphics are to be scanned by the Sentinel-Record
placement windows must be indicated.
Scanned
Photos must accommodate a 30% dot gain on the press.
Files
must be set to output at 100 LPI and at 1200 DPI.
All
Color Files must use CMYK values, please recheck your photo images
in your imaging software to ensure that they are not RGB.
Maximum
output size it 11.675 X21.25 inches.
Each
disk or cartridge must contain only one ad file.
